Sutherland Shopping Centre Upgrade
The Sutherland Shopping Centre Upgrade is scheduled to commence in 2010 and to be completed by the end of 2011. Council has made provision of funds for the works and has obtained matching grant funding under the Commonwealth Government's Community Infrastructure Program.
The first stage of the upgrade works has now commenced as part of the new development on President Avenue and Eton Street in Sutherland.
The next stage of works will continue along length of President Avenue between the Old Princes Highway and Eton Street. They will also extend north on the east side of the Old Princes Highway from President Avenue to Boyle Lane. These works also include an upgrade to the existing roundabout on the corner of President Avenue and Old Princes Highway. The upgrade to the roundabout improves the existing turning circle for trucks. This will create a safer manoeuvre for large vehicles and a safer realigned crossing point for pedestrians.

The Plans
