The following links guide you to the different types of information that are available from the Sutherland Shire Libraries web site.

The Library Catalogue can be used to search for books, magazine titles (but not individual articles) and audio-visual material, as well as any other material held in the collections of all branches of the Sutherland Shire Libraries. Use the Back button on your browser to return to the Library web site once you have finished searching.

Searches for articles from newspapers, journals and magazines can be performed in our Online Databases. Many of these products are purchased by the library and are licensed for use by library members only.

The Community Directory is where you will find information and contact details for local groups and services. For example, find out how to make a booking at your local tennis court, join a local club or locate support services.

Search Picture Sutherland Shire, an online collection of historical photographs of the Sutherland Shire.  Printed versions of most of the photos can be viewed in our Local Studies collection and photographic reproductions can be obtained at your request.

The library has a number of resources for people tracing their Family History. There is material held in the library collection, including CD-roms, as well as a number of helpful web sites.

You can search for articles from The Leader and other local newspapers in the Local Newspaper Index.  Search the database for reference to newspaper articles then come to the reference library at Sutherland to view and/or copy the articles from the newspapers.
