Shelf Labels
The majority of the fiction will have a 'genre' label on the spine, some of the non-fiction as well.T hese labels give a very quick indication of what the book will be about. So don't just judge a book by it's cover! Judge by the spine label as well. Here are the Adult genre labels and those for Juniors & Young Adults.

A blog with book, DVD and music reviews for adults, teens and kids. Users can read a wide range of reviews in different genres and contribute their own.
- Get Reading
Get Reading! is an Australian Government Initiative celebrating books and reading. During the campaign, the government releases a guide to 50 suggested books to get readers started.
- LibraryThing
A site that allows you to build a catalogue of your books and then connects you with other who read similar things. You can also search the site by subject for reading suggestions without joining up.
- What Should I Read Next
Uses recommendations by readers to link you books that others have liked based on a book that you like.
